Hibiscus tea is a herbal tea made as an infusion from the crimson the Hibiscus sabdariffa plant. Also known as Abyssinian tea, it very popular in some parts of North Africa, especially in Egypt; in Italy, it was first introduced from Eritrea (Italian colony between 1860 and 1941).
